Freebies!

Here are some PDF downloads of materials related to my curriculum. You can use these in your Montessori school classroom or homeschooler mom's can use them to help their children.

I take the PDF files to FedexOffice on a thumb drive and have them printed in color. I then laminate the printouts, or cut out game pieces, then laminate and cut out again. You can do as you see fit, but this has worked out well for me!

Fishing Game - Download and print out little fish on card-stock paper at your local FedexOffice (See PDF below). Attach paper clips to each fish after cutting out, and then laminate. Each one is labeled with character word descriptions such as honesty, kind, polite, good friend, interrupting someone, and caring. Make a pole with a wood dowel (you can purchase these at your local hobby shop) and strings. Attach a magnet to the end of the string so that as the children fish, the magnet picks up fish via the paper clip. Children take turns to fish out a fish card and talk about what word is on the fish and the different ways we can apply the character word.

Plants Give Us Matching Work - This is a matching work for Botany. Once you print the file out (3 pages about $3.50 in color) you'll want to trim around the edges (about 1/8 inch border), then laminate and trim again to make cards. Apply same-color dots on the backs of the cards that match so that the children can self-check their matching. See Week 19 Day 5 for the lesson to demonstrate with this work.

Record Keeping/Works for the Montessori Classroom - Here is a list of all the works in a Montessori classroom with checkboxes. Use these forms to keep track of the child's progress. There is a key at the bottom of each page to show how you can know progress. Obviously, the child does not have to complete the works in any particular order, but you'll know what is completed by using this convenient form.
